ReWriters Defined

ReWriters noun /rēˈrīdərs/ people whose life story has been altered or improved; the storytellers.

ReWriters noun /rēˈrīdərs/ people whose life story has been altered or improved, and they are ready to use it; the overcomers, storytellers, and changemakers.

“Tell your children about it in the years to come, and let your children tell their children. Pass the story down from generation to generation.” Joel 1:3 NLT

We all have a story.

Many of us can pinpoint the very moment when GOD, life, or circumstances stepped in to alter our way ahead. I know I sure can. I’ve concluded that the intrusions are most memorable as harsh, painful, scarring, or downright depressing event points, while others were a major leap of faith or some grand accomplishment. Yet, all of it gives us a testimony.

Our pocketful of testimonies shape who we are. It’s also our vulnerability with these testimonies that can have the most significant impact on us and others. Being vulnerable leads us to recognize our need for Christ and His saving grace, as well as our purpose and potential as His children and heirs of his promises and work. For those who encounter these testimonies, it can serve as a warning for their own lives or offer up a fresh squeeze of inspiration and motivation.

We all need a rewrite.

The ReWriters are people whose life stories have been altered or improved, and they are ready to use this to help others. Today, countless lives are being rewritten, just as they were during The Bible age. Scripture chronicles numerous stories of regular people who later became epics for GOD’s glory. The reminder is that no matter where we’ve come from or what we’ve done, you can still be used. Anyone can be overcomer and every new day is an opportunity for a fresh start—to try again, keep persevering, and be better.

We all could use a little inspiration.

Part of the mission at The Writer’s Boutique is to advocate for people who are embracing their rewrite to help others. Many are my friends, some my mentors, and others are new acquaintances who are simply on the path. All have real stories that I admire. I call them ReWriters, not merely for what they’ve done or are doing, but for who they are becoming through the process of it all.

This platform will release a series of posts to help develop effective ReWriters and their skills for storytelling or being changemakers. It will also spotlight ordinary people who’ve already navigated the territory and are talking about the wins, alongside the complicated issues and losses they overcame, which none of us are immune to. It’s part school and part devotional, meets the personal journeys of those who were lost, bound, heartbroken, afraid, despised, insecure, rejected, inadequate, grieving, abused, or addicted—the failures, the dreamers, and the victories; all who have battled it out, been edited, and have welcomed a rewrite into their script.

Every article is not a typical ‘Christian’ story. However, each person I feature and celebrate is someone I consider an inspiration. I pray their willingness to be vulnerable and share their truths, faults, and victory, will directly deliver a drive-by of hope and encouragement.

I aim to pour into and help raise up future ReWriters and at the same time breathe some positive influence into as many lives as I can reach by showcasing people who are living what I call, The ReWriter’s Way, and are making an impact. My prayer is also to bring so much know-how, examples, resources, and motivation into your life that you’ll begin to eventually see yourself as a ReWriter too.

Stay tuned... there is SO much more to come!

Blessings + Favor.
